What are the responsibilities and job description for the Compounder (Batch maker) position at DAP Global Inc.?
Job Overview:
A successful candidate must be able to use weighing scales, measuring devices and simple gauges. Add weighed material into mixers as specified on established batch sheets. Runs mixer according to Standard Operating Procedure. Operates filtering equipment. May be required to keep records. Fills containers and drums and identifies contents of each. Is required to move empty drums and containers to designated areas by means of forklift or other prescribed method. Must have knowledge of all compounding techniques, including special formulations and have demonstrated the ability to accurately compound all formulas. May be assigned other duties when necessary.
Requires prolonged standing (90%) with occasional walking (10%). Requires bending, twisting, climbing ladders, and lifting/carrying over 50 lbs.
Exposure to raw materials and other chemicals due to the products manufactured. Requires personal protective equipment (i.e., flame retardant clothing, safety glasses, goggles, safety shoes, and gloves).
- The ability to see, read, distinguish letters and/or symbols
- Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures for each mixer
- Ability to perform job duties in accordance with established safety rules
- Must possess a valid forklift license or become certified within introductory period.
