DAP is looking to hire Industrial Engineering Intern for Summer 2025.
Responsibilities:
The intern will work on a Green Belt project using the DMAIC methodology to identify and implement cost reduction opportunities in material usage and/or process improvements.
Project Description:
The project involves analyzing current material usage and processes and finding ways to reduce waste. The intern will collect data, analyze processes, and help implement solutions during each stage of the DMAIC process.
Specific Goals:
Identify opportunities to reduce waste to improve throughput and efficiency.
Milestones and Timing:
1. Milestone 1: Define Phase
- Timing: Week 1-2
- Details: Set project goals and define the scope of work.
2. Milestone 2: Measure Phase - Timing: Week 3-4 •
- Details: Collect data and identify the impact
3. Milestone 3: Analyze Phase - Timing: Week 5-6
- Details: Analyze data to find opportunities for improvement
4. Milestone 4: Improve Phase - Timing: Week 7-9
- Details: Suggest improvements
5. Milestone 5: Control Phase - Timing: Week 10-12
- Details: Implement solutions and monitor results
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Major: Mechanical & Industrial Engineering.
- College classification: Junior or Senior
- Required knowledge of Microsoft Project, MS Office or similar tools for data analysis.

- $17 / hour
