Pet Bather

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dog Bather to join our Dapper Dog family. Must be 18 yrs old and able to lift up to 50 lbs. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality bathing services to pets, ensuring they are clean, comfortable, and well-cared for. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animals and experience in pet care or grooming.

Responsibilities

• Bathe and dry pets using appropriate techniques and equipment.
• Brush and comb fur.
• Inspect pets for any signs of skin issues or abnormalities and report findings to the grooming team.
• Maintain cleanliness of the bathing area including mopping, wiping down area, vacuuming, cleaning up behind dogs and helping groomers keep the shop clean.
• Assist in handling pets during the bathing process to ensure their safety and comfort.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating with groomers about their pets' needs and care.
• Follow all safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for both pets and staff.

Qualifications

• Experience in bathing or as a veterinary technician is preferred but not require.
• On job training available.
• Knowledge of animal handling techniques, particularly with dogs.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed when handling larger breeds or multiple animals.
• Previous experience in a kennel or as a veterinary assistant is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well in a team environment.
• A genuine love for animals and commitment to providing exceptional care.

Pay: $10.00 - $11.00 per hour
