We are searching for a highly motivated PR Account Coordinator with a positive outlook and a desire for personal growth to join our team of skilled communicators at Darby Communications.

We are looking for a full-time account coordinator with a passion for the outdoors to work with our amazing team of PR professionals! The Account Coordinator position will work closely with Account Executives and is responsible for assisting with implementing customized PR campaigns that meet and exceed our clients’ goals.
Considered candidates MUST possess strong organizational and time management skills. Public relations is a constantly evolving field and the ability to adapt to change is a necessity. This is a close-knit, creative team so high, positive energy is essential!
The PR Account Coordinator position is an essential team member responsible for tasks such as research, pitching, reporting, and athlete / ambassador support. It is an entry-level, full-time salaried position with rapid growth potential. Candidate must live in the Asheville, NC area or be willing to relocate within 3-6 months of hire.Position to start ASAP.
Salary range is $45,000 – $52,000 based on experience. Benefits include health insurance, paid time off for vacation, holidays, sick days, volunteer and service work, a 4-day work week offered twice monthly, a cell phone stipend, and a matching 401K.
Job Qualifications and Requirements :
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field
- Knowledge of and a passion for the outdoors
- Impeccable verbal and written communication
- Detail-oriented and organized in all tasks
- Strategic, well-organized thinker who is eager to take on new responsibilities, work on a team, and grow with the agency. Must have the ability to multitask.
- Action-oriented – able to work quickly and thoroughly, is self-motivated, and can meet deadlines
- Capable of working in a collaborative environment with colleagues and clients
- Willingness to travel to trade shows, sales meetings, and media events, as needed
- Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite / Google Drive Suite (Word / Docs, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel / Sheets)
