The Analyst provides business analytical support within the Decision Support team. The Analyst will support the full supply chain team with a focus on supply strategy, data analytics, workflow improvement and automation. Responsibilities include conducting data analysis and total cost analysis for sourcing events, developing data visibility tools, enhancing reporting capabilities, and contributing to supply chain metrics.

Next Generation Analytics

Next Generation Analytics
- Project administration for Decision Support team activity, including ongoing project updates, RFP progress reports, and cost savings reporting
- Use data analytics to identify and share opportunities for optimization with buying teams
- Supports sourcing events though data collection related to RFPs (e.g., historical pricing by supplier and center, formula pricing, usage forecasts, market updates, currency exchange rates)
- Performs financial analysis (tiered formula pricing, opportunity cost, labor cost modeling, should-cost modeling) for bid and makes financial recommendation RFP awards
- Analyze supplier costing models and provide negotiating and cost savings insights to purchasing
- Provide ad-hoc analyses as needed to support Purchasing and Supply Chain decisions
- Support efforts to assess and monitor compliance of contracts
- Participate in discussions to help influence and drive decisions to reduce costs, mitigate risks, optimize buying approach and strategically plan for business needs
- Support best practice sharing across buyer groups to improve overall success of the supply chain performance
- Utilize and improve upon supply chain visibility tools to analyze historical and real-time data that provide actionable insights for decision-making.
- Develop, document, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for key processes, ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment with organizational goals. This includes regularly reviewing and updating SOPs to reflect process improvements and industry best practices
- Leverage Supply Chain and systems knowledge to provide new value-added tools that allows teams to focus on priorities
- Develop and automate reporting processes to enhance efficiency and improve accessibility of key metrics for stakeholders
- Data governance advocate with all members of the Supply Chain team to improve availability and accuracy of insights
- Expertise in Excel
- Familiar with data transformation, cleansing, and automation, with the ability to integrate and manipulate data from multiple sources for analysis and reporting.
- Strong data mining skills using data systems (e.g. BI tools, database SQL awareness, Microsoft power suite)
- Experience with procurement operations and requisition tools (Ariba, Coupa, etc.)
- Bachelor’s Degree required, Supply Chain specialization/coursework preferred.
- One to two years work experience in supply chain or financial analysis
- Considered knowledgeable with purchasing / buying negotiation tactics
- Working knowledge of sourcing, purchasing and payment processes
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment and meet aggressive deadlines with accurate and concise analysis
- Strong organizational skills and excellent follow-through
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to confidentially interact with and present to all levels of Darden management
