This position functions to procure real estate including site selection, determination of brand integrity, contract negotiation and financial return. The Real Estate Manager is responsible to maintain active communication with Development Team Leaders and Team members as well as outside developers, real estate brokers and community representatives.
Roles And Responsibilities
- Manages the administrative and research processes of real estate transactions and evaluations, e.g., site selection process, brand integrity and financial return.
- Identifies and secures high-quality sites to meet growth and financial goals.
- Builds effective broker and developer network to identify premier sites early.
- Coordinates and plans site visits with leadership
- Negotiates purchase contracts and/or rental leases, in compliance with real estate law, for identified sites.
- Prepares site approval materials in collaboration with various departments, e.g., investment analysis, market development, licensing, design and construction.
- Maintains active communications with Development Team Leaders and employees for dissemination of information and project efficiency.
- Assists with licensing and land use approvals.
- Requires 40% to 60% travel
- 3-5 years in real estate development and acquisition.
- Familiarity with real estate letters of intent, leases and contracts.
- Strong financial acumen.
- Willingness to present multi-million-dollar transactions to leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, real estate or equivalent experience.
- Strong multi-tasking and project management skills
- Effective communication with all levels of employees in a complex corporate environment.
- Ability to present concise and compelling business cases to senior leaders
- Strong relationship-building and persuasion skills.
- Adaptability in dynamic business environments.
- Experience with multi-unit restaurant chains is a plus.
