Roles And Responsibilities

- Supervises all Distribution Center activities including shipping, receiving, forecasting, and storage of various restaurant merchandise and commodities, office supplies and printed materials.
- Supervises all customer service functions within Distribution Center to include phone coverage, order entry, order tracing, and order returns when necessary.
- Plans and maintains special projects and assignments, e.g., product distributions, warehouse layout and design, systems recommendations and updating, equipment purchases and maintenance.
- Supervises all aspects of product procurement including forecasting needs, creating and placing purchase orders and expediting inbound products.
- Prioritizes shipments and deliveries of culinary merchandise and commodities, office supplies and materials, and miscellaneous products.
- Reviews and ensures the accuracy and efficiency of departmental record keeping duties for shipping, receiving and inventory databases.
- Monitors inventory, tracking and sorting tasks of warehouse deliveries and storage.
- Maintains departmental sanitation and safety programs.
- Supports the development and growth of all distribution center coordinators and associates.
- Develops, maintains, tracks and reports various performance metrics, e.g., overtime, attendance, labor productivity, customer service levels.
- Three (3) to four (4) years experience in the functions of customer service, demand planning, inventory control, and warehouse operations, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- High school diploma or GED
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with all levels of management team and associates
- Demonstrated ability to work independently having been given defined objectives
- Capable of easily adapting and solving problems in an expedient manner
- Ability to manage, lead and motivate others for a successful outcome
- Must be self-disciplined, goal oriented and highly organized
