POSITION PURPOSE


The Early Literacy and Advanced Teaching Roles (ATR) Coordinator is responsible for the implementation, oversight, and continuous improvement of early literacy initiatives and advanced teaching roles within the district. This position will oversee the Teaching and Learning Facilitators (TLF) to drive student achievement and mentor educators. The coordinator collaborates with district leaders, school administrators, and teachers to support the successful execution of early literacy programs and advanced teaching models, aligning with district priorities and state policies.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


? Develop and implement strategies to support early literacy and advanced teaching roles,

ensuring alignment with district goals and state requirements.

? Collaborate with school and district leadership to identify, support, and evaluate teachers

in early literacy and advanced roles.

? Collaborate with teams to develop professional development and coaching for educators

in early literacy and advanced roles to enhance instructional effectiveness.

? Monitor and analyze data related to the impact of early literacy and advanced teaching

roles on student outcomes and instructional quality.

? Develop and maintain communication plans to ensure stakeholders are informed about early

literacy initiatives and the ATR program, expectations, and successes.

? Support the recruitment and selection process for early literacy and advanced

teaching positions, ensuring a transparent and equitable process.

? Collaborate with HR, finance, and instructional teams to ensure proper allocation of resources

and sustainability of the programs.

? Provide ongoing support to school staff, including school leaders and TLFs, including team teaching

and mentoring structures.

? Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal policies related to early literacy and

advanced teaching roles, including the oversight of the ATR grant funding.

? Serve as a liaison between schools and district leadership to address challenges and drive

continuous improvement.


QUALIFICATIONS


? Minimum of five years of successful teaching experience with demonstrated leadership roles.

? Experience in early literacy instruction, instructional coaching, teacher leadership,

or related areas preferred.

? Strong understanding of early literacy development, instructional research-based practices,

and teacher leadership models.

? Ability to analyze data to inform decision-making and improve student outcomes.

? Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

? Proficiency in facilitating professional development and coaching educators.

? Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently.
