Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for individuals in care.
- Implement individualized care plans tailored to the specific needs of each client.
- Monitor and document clients' progress, behavior, and any changes in health status.
- Assist with mobility and physical activities, including heavy lifting when necessary.
- Ensure a safe and clean living environment by maintaining hygiene standards and organizing living spaces.
- Support clients in engaging with community resources and social activities to promote inclusion.
- Administer basic health checks such as vital signs when required.
Skills
- Certification in CPR is preferred to ensure client safety during emergencies.
- Experience in home health, senior care, or memory care is highly valued.
- Knowledge of dementia care practices is beneficial for supporting clients with cognitive impairments.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed for client mobility assistance.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with clients and their families.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare professionals and family members.
