Darigold is looking for motivated Warehouse Operator to join our NEW Pasco Plant. This role is responsible for the physical management of materials and products throughout the plant. As a member of the Warehouse team, the Warehouse Operator should possess the desire and ability to contribute to the success of the plant. Our plants create nutritious products 24/7, 365 days a year. As such, all Darigold employees are expected to follow all Food Safety and Quality requirements as outlined in Darigold’s Good Manufacturing Policy, Standard Operating Procedures and facility employee training sessions.
The ideal candidate for this role excels in a fast-paced environment and can handle multiple repetitive tasks. You are dedicated to executing excellence in the tasks that you are assigned by the Warehouse Manager. You should also believe in working with others to achieve team goals, while also effectively work independently without direct supervision.
What You Will Do
- Shipping/Receiving of different types of materia
- Inventory tracking and reconciliation
- Organization of all storage areas
- Light maintenance and sanitation of the assigned work are Transferring of finished goods, packaging, materials, and ingredients
- Ensuring accurate and timely counts and reporting requirements
- Loading and unloading
- Follow all safety standards
- Operate different types of machinery. (i.e. forklift, power pallet jack, terminal tractor)
- Work in a cool and refrigerated environment
- Provide supplies to the production teams
- Assist with training new personnel
- Able to obtain and maintain forklift certification
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
What You Bring:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior forklift experience
- Basic math, computer skills
- 1 year production experience preferred
- 2 years of warehouse experience
- Accurate/Timely receiving and inventory management practices; use and tracking through scan guns, pallet tags, pick lists, packing slips, BOLs, computer entry into Oracle and Access Lot Tracking data base
- Self-motivated and able to work without close supervision and perform multiple tasks.
- Willing to work nights/weekends/holidays
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Ability to meet all warehouse performance standards
- Ability to meet attendance and punctuality standards
Nice to Have’s
- Read and follow directions of load sheets, schematics, and product labels
- Familiar with how ERP and WMS work
- Safe operation of sit-down forklift, electric pallet jack and terminal tractor
- Safe Load/Unload of semi-trailers
- Knowledge of shipping/receiving/inventory control
- Can use an RF scanner gun
- Ability to learn rapidly and perform multiple tasks
- Experience driving yard trucks and moving trailers
