Darigold is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to be a part of Darigold’s Portland, Oregon Plant team. The Maintenance Supervisor must possess the desire and ability to manage the maintenance and repair for all areas of the processing plant. The Maintenance Supervisor’s role is to supervise and coordinate all plant maintenance personnel to attain effective and efficient plant operations.

What You Will Do
- Design, implement and maintain preventive and predictive maintenance programs
- Provide first class technical support to the manufacturing enterprise daily, supporting plant operations and personnel to ensure a safety-first environment that delivers value to our producers and the highest quality products to our customers
- Actively collaborates as a team member in a high-performance cross functional work team environment, including plant and regional manufacturing technical resources, engineering and IT
- Oversee maintenance of all wastewater treatment, steam, compressed air, water, HVAC, refrigeration, and electrical equipment
- Oversee maintenance of all processing and packaging equipment
- Oversee day-to-day scheduled work for all mechanics and all necessary outside contractor work
- Utilize CMMS system to oversee department work requests and work orders
- Schedule shifts of all mechanics week to week, including scheduling and forcing overtime as necessary
- Manage a safe working environment for all maintenance personnel
- Maintain plant quality performance standards
- Participate in plant performance improvement teams
- Work with plant Engineering Manager to oversee Capital Expenditure items
- Provide emergency response
- Provide necessary training to new and existing employees
- Maintain understanding of regulations and SOPs
- Dairy, beverage, packaging or process industry background preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with mechanics, electrical, building maintenance, wastewater treatment and plant utility systems
- Ability and desire to work in a team environment
- Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed by the operation
- Understands and has experience in manufacturing processes in industrial plants (preferably Food and Beverage), electrical control systems, equipment and machinery
- Provide leadership in knowledge transfer and implementation of approved maintenance and engineering standards and practices
- Degree in engineering or a related field. Industry experience would be considered in the absence of a degree
- 3 – 5 years of experience in the maintenance/engineering field
- Experience leading a team in a union environment
- Experience working with a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
- Experience in Microsoft Office
