Darigold is looking for a skilled Senior Accountant to join our team at our Seattle Corporate Headquarters. Reporting to the Assistant Controller, the Senior Accountant has the opportunity to impact Darigold through timely, accurate and quality financial reporting. What You Will Do
- Perform general ledger activities such as preparing appropriate support for and recording journal entries.
- Develop key financial reports and schedules for senior management and the Board of Directors.
- Actively participate in the audit and preparation of annual GAAP financial statements.
- Engage with our international finance team to troubleshoot Intercompany issues and serve as a backup where needed.
- Prepare various monthly accounting entries in support of a timely monthly close.
- Prepare various balance sheet reconciliations and evaluate the procedures and effectiveness of the reconciliations with a view of continuous improvement.
- Provide analysis of various general ledger postings and resolve issues in advance of month-end.
- Develop and enhance monthly reporting, trend analysis and analytics on various metrics.
- Evaluate internal controls and financial reporting disciplines to ensure an effective and efficient annual audit.
- Special projects and development activities in other Finance functions as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or related field.
- 3 years of corporate accounting experience in a medium to large organization or 2 years in a public accounting environment preferred.
- CPA or MBA certification preferred.
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP with the ability to research and provide actionable recommendations on newly adopted standards.
- Familiarity with Oracle, Hyperion/ESS Base experience a plus.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel proficiency.
- Strong critical thinking skills.
- Possess a high level of initiative and accountability.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy and precision in all tasks.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Conveys information clearly and effectively through well-articulated oral and written communications.
- Works well with others at all levels with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to focus and manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Results driven with a commitment and adaptability to meet deadlines as prioritized by the business.
- Ability to travel (less than 20%).

- Compensation range: $81,517 - $122,275 (individual wage based on previous experience, knowledge and skills)
