Description
Darigold is seeking a highly motivated Sr Network Engineer to join our IT Operations team and provide support to, and management of, the Darigold Network for Darigold’s offices, data centers, manufacturing plants, warehouses, and labs. The candidate should be able to provide high quality output in a fast-paced environment. The Sr Network Engineer’s primary responsibility will be to support Darigold’s Eastern Washington locations, including a new plant in Pasco, WA; however, they will also be expected to remotely support the rest of the Darigold’s network with travel as necessary.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Document, monitor, test, troubleshoot and implement new and existing wired and wireless network systems architecture
- Implement secure network configurations and access controls standards
- Analyze and remediate network vulnerabilities
- Develop solutions to increase network service stability through automation, mature processes, and problem management techniques.
- Monitoring of network uptime, availability, bandwidth utilization, configuration change monitoring and backups
- Update documentation including network designs, assessments, inventories, circuit information, and private and public IP addressing
- Assist in the management of the network device lifecycle including keeping apprised of patches, latest technologies, and End of Support / End of Life dates
- Escalate issues where necessary to vendor support teams
- Collaborate with vendors, MSPs, and internal stakeholders to provide and gather input on various initiatives
- Collaborate with IT Operations SysAdmins and OT for network issue escalations
- Follow up with stakeholders, provide feedback and see problems through to resolution
- Provide 24 x 7 On-Call support as part of a rotating schedule, responding to alerts for all infrastructure, including network devices along with physical and virtual servers, escalating to SysAdmin’s as needed..
- Local and regional travel estimate of 25%
