Position Summary:
The Campus Hockey Director/Manager will serve as the on-site leader, managing all aspects of our hockey development programs. This role requires exceptional organizational, leadership, and hockey expertise to ensure the highest quality of training and development for our athletes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program Leadership: Oversee and coordinate all hockey-related activities on campus, including training sessions, clinics, and special events.
- Player Development: Work directly with players to assess their needs, set goals, and create tailored development plans.
- Staff Management: Supervise and mentor coaching and support staff, ensuring consistency and professionalism across all programming.
- Operations Management: Manage day-to-day operations, including scheduling, facility usage, and ensuring a safe and organized environment.
- Player and Parent Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for athletes and families, providing updates on progress, addressing concerns, and building strong relationships.
- Recruitment and Retention: Attract new players to the program and maintain strong relationships with current athletes and their families.
- Hockey IQ Training: Implement and oversee strategies to enhance players’ understanding of the game.
- Scouting and Networking: Build connections with scouts, teams, and organizations to support player advancement opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in hockey as a coach, player, or administrator (experience at the collegiate, junior, or professional level preferred).
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Ability to connect with players, parents, and staff in a professional and personable manner.
- Knowledge of player development techniques, including on-ice skills and off-ice strength and conditioning.
- Familiarity with hockey IQ training and analysis tools is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, based on program schedules.
Compensation:
Competitive salary based on experience, with performance-based bonuses and growth opportunities.
Salary : $55,000 - $78,000
