Job Overview
Dark Horse is seeking an experienced and effective Account Manager to expand our market share & services within the nearly 2 billion dollar industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of 40-50 accounts and developing new business opportunities. This role requires strong communication skills, sales acumen, and the ability to analyze market trends.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development of positive brand experiences, consumer education, and consumer relationships in Missouri market.
- Maintain regular communication with assigned dispensaries and expand existing partnerships in Missouri market
- Travel to dispensaries within Missouri
- Develop strong relationships with dispensary owners and purchasing managers
- Identify new sales opportunities
- Report key insights and track data by utilizing various business tools
- Support retail partners to maximize sell-through rates (This may involve regular visits to retail and/or in-store activities to directly engage budtenders)
- Host budtender training sessions & attend trade shows where required
- Independently manage your territory
- Achieve above target results in all KPI’s including sales growth, distribution, innovation speed to market
- Act as an industry expert providing timely and insightful retail feedback to your manager
- Accurately document call activity via CRM and Call Reporting tool and answer any questions or concerns related to purchase/product experience or product use
- Complete a post-visit and call assessment report for management
- Maintain knowledge of market, competition, & best practices in sales techniques and strategies
- Adhere to all industry and corporate regulations
- Performs other duties as assigned
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree (Preferred) or 5 years experience in inside/outside sales organizations
Required Skills:
- Proven experience in account management and sales
- Strong leadership abilities to drive team success
- Ability to effectively communicate with clients and internal teams
- Proficiency in technology sales tools such as HubSpot, Microsoft Office Suite and or related software systems
- Organizational skills & attention to detail
- Time management with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical & problem-solving leadership skills
Preferred Skills:
- Previous experience in CPG sales
- Familiarity with warm calling techniques
- Ability to repetitively lift up to 50lbs.
