Job Overview:
Dark Star Marble and Granite is looking for an experienced Stone Fabricator to join our team. This role involves cutting, shaping, and polishing natural and engineered stone to produce high-quality countertops and other surfaces. The ideal candidate takes pride in craftsmanship, works well in a team, and follows safety and quality control procedures to ensure precision and durability in every piece.
Job Responsibilities:
- Cut, grind, and polish granite, quartz, and marble slabs to required specifications
- Operate hand tools, routers, grinders, polishers, and bridge saws
- Inspect and measure materials before and after fabrication for accuracy
- Perform edge profiling and finish detailing
- Follow templates and customer specifications for custom fabrications
- Handle and move heavy slabs safely using lifting equipment
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow workplace safety protocols and wear proper PPE
Skills & Qualifications:
✅ Required:
- Experience in stone fabrication, countertop manufacturing, or a related field
- Ability to read and interpret templates, drawings, and measurements
- Proficiency with power tools such as grinders, polishers, and saws
- Attention to detail and ability to produce precise cuts and finishes
- Physical ability to lift 75 lbs and work in a shop environment
✅ Preferred:
- CNC and/or waterjet machine experience
- Experience with epoxy and seam work
- Forklift or crane operation experience
