What are the responsibilities and job description for the Site Reliability Engineer position at Dark Wolf Solutions?
Dark Wolf Solutions is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer. The role requires the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of complex systems. This position will be hybrid with 3 days a week on site in Tampa, FL. Candidates must be located physically in the Tampa Bay area or surrounding areas. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Building and maintaining infrastructure as code on large scale multi-site deployments.
- Utilizing your experience to evaluate and assess new ways to scale platform capabilities.
- Automating workflows to help push the limit of the infrastructure and enabling continuous delivery of capabilities onto a hybrid infrastructure.
- Troubleshooting issues until root causes are understood on high traffic production systems.
- Ensuring that there is adequate monitoring and reporting to be able to identify problems, and resolve/escalate them as appropriate
- Participating in design and code review processes.
- Interacting with product owners to coordinate infrastructure changes and being responsible for identifying bottlenecks and improving performance of the platform.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or equivalent technical degree; or in lieu of degree, 3 years of equivalent industry experience
- Experience in troubleshooting/debugging complex technical issues in a timely manner
- 3 years of experience developing production software leveraging modern languages (including: Java, Python, Go, NodeJS, etc.)
- 1 years of experience developing containerized services deployed in production on orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes, Mesos, Swarm, etc.
- 3 years of experience with agile and lean software development philosophies
- 1 years of experience working with relational and/or non-relational databases e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch etc.
- 2 years of demonstrated experience with modern version control systems such as Git, Subversion, Mercurial, etc.
- CompTIA Security CE or other DoD 8570 IAT II certification
- US Citizenship and have Secret security clearance with eligibility to the Top Secret/SCI level
The salary range for this position is estimated to be between $90,000.00 - $110,000.00, commensurate on experience and technical skillset.
