What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lumper - Savannah position at DarkHorse Express Solutions Inc.?
We are always looking for an eager, driven individual to join our warehouse team as a Lumper. This is physically hard work that requires a great eye for detail and a self-motivated mindset. Our ideal applicant has to have warehouse experience, including loading, packing, transporting, and is used to working inside/outside Coastal Georgia weather conditions. Experience as a forklift or pallet jack driver is preferred. You must be able to stand, lift different size boxes, and crouch for several hours each day.
Production pay averages around $400-1000 per week, depending on the amount of production and containers available.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and distribute pallets of goods to the appropriate area of the warehouse
- Operate a motorized pallet jack
- Maintain a safe and organized loading area
- Adhere to all workplace safety guidelines
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Flexible scheduling is a must, available at different warehouses
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- Pallet jack or forklift experience and certification (preferred)
- Ability to read and interpret unloading instruction and order manifests
This is for a Contract Temp position at various locations in the Savannah area with 10 to 12 hour shift. Our clients workday start at 4am, 6am, 7am or 10am and work until the job is done for the day.
