What You’ll Be Doing:
- Coordinate Drayage Operations: Oversee timely pick-up and delivery of containers, ensuring that every step of the drayage process runs smoothly and on time.
- Track Shipments via Port Websites: Use port systems to track containers and ensure compliance with port regulations.
- Handle Shipping Paperwork: Prepare and process essential documents, including bills of lading and customs forms, with precision.
- Use Excel for Reporting: Leverage Excel to create and manage detailed reports on inventory, shipments, and schedules.
- Collaborate & Resolve: Work closely with logistics and shipping teams to resolve any issues, ensuring seamless operations.
- Ensure Safety and Compliance: Uphold safety protocols and regulatory requirements to maintain a secure work environment.
What You Need to Bring to the Table:
- Must-Have: Proven expertise in container drayage and knowledge of port operations—this is a knockout requirement!
- High school diploma or equivalent (additional training in logistics or supply chain management is a plus).
- Experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or a similar role.
- Strong familiarity with port websites, software, and container tracking.
- Excel proficiency: you should be comfortable generating reports, analyzing data, and managing spreadsheets.
- Exceptional attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to multitask effectively.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with different teams.
