Job Summary
The Benefits Leave Administrator's primary responsibility is to manage and administer all aspects of leave programs, including FMLA, disability, and other leave policies, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. This includes providing guidance to employees and managers, processing leave requests, tracking leave balances, and coordinating with third-party administrators.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

- Administers various leave programs such as FMLA, disability, and other leave policies, ensuring consistency with company policies and legal requirements
- Provides guidance and support by serving as a subject matter expert, advising employees and managers on leave policies, procedures, and eligibility requirements, and answering their questions regarding leave of absence
- Processes leave requests by handling the intake, processing, and tracking of employee leave requests, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with relevant regulations
- Tracks leave balances by maintaining accurate records of employee leave balances, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements
- Coordinates with Third-Party Administrators for disability and other leave-related matters, ensuring smooth processing of claims and timely payments
- Maintains accurate records of leave requests, approvals, and employee status, and generating reports as needed for management and legal purposes
- Stays current on changes in state and federal laws related to leave, updating policies and procedures accordingly
- Ensures compliance to all applicable laws and regulations, including FMLA, ADA, and USERRA, ensuring that leave programs are compliant and consistent
- Collaborates with payroll, benefits, and other HR functions to ensure seamless processing of leave and related matters
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in HR or related field
- 3-5 years of experience administering employee benefits or insurance benefit information
- Required education may be substituted by additional years of experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Group Benefits Associate (GBA) or Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) status
- Experience with Benefits Administration to include medical, dental and vision plans, health savings accounts, flexible spending accounts, life, AD&D, short and long-term disability
- Knowledge of various laws such as ERISA, ACA, COBRA, etc.
- Oracle HCM experience
- Work effectively and efficiently within strict deadlines as part of a team
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and written communication skills
- Experience working in a strong customer-service-focused environment within human resources
