Job Summary
The Route Coordinator assists route drivers in providing prompt, efficient and courteous service to all customers through utilization of routing system.
Essential Duties / Responsibilities

- Assigns and organizes driver routes ensuring route efficiency based on stops and route costs; forecast customer pickups and driver scheduling for customers.
- Utilizes Roadnet Transportation Suite & PeopleNet software routing / navigation systems optimizing fleet routing and scheduled based on specific customer parameters.
- Completes daily and weekly reports on tickets, costs, and routing.
- Tracks and re-routes missed customer pick-ups daily; routes call-ins according to customer needs and efficiency of routing.
- Coordinates Mobile Wash Unit and Tank Delivery to customer's site for cleaning, painting, tank pickup and delivery with input and follow-up from Customer Service Representative.
- Maintains current customer accounts through personal and telephone contact ensuring quality service to each customer in coordination with Customer Service Representative.
- All other duties as assigned by management.

Job functions will be carried out at a plant location, office environment, Darling vehicle or personal vehicle, and in customer locations.
