Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Activity Assistant to join our team and enhance the quality of life for our residents in a assisted living setting. The ideal candidate will have a passion for senior care and creating engaging activities to promote overall well-being.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and lead recreational activities for elderly residents
- Assist in coordinating events, outings, and social gatherings
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents
- Collaborate with the care team to ensure activities meet individual needs
- FOLLOW ACTIVITY SCHEDULE
- Maintain accurate records of resident participation and progress
Requirements:
- EXPERIENCE WITH DEMENTIA AND ALZHEIMER'S PREFEREED
Previous experience in a assisted living facility preferred.
- Knowledge of aging issues counseling and caregiving practices
- Strong organizational skills for effective schedule management
- Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively
- Experience in event planning and social work is a plus
