Job Summary

This position is primarily responsible for providing carryout service for customers of Darlow’s Quality Foods.

Responsible for stocking all coolers, freight, and backstock while providing a courteous, friendly and a fast pace efficient environment.

 

 


Job Duties/Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each of the essential duties/responsibilities listed below. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties/responsibilities of this job. 

 

  • Check white board for shift turnover information and report to the Person in Charge, Grocery Manager, or Front End Manager.
  • Throughout shift check dairy and key categories
  • Stock drink coolers up front
  • Respond to carry out calls
  • Check all trash cans throughout the store.
  • Cashiers will call for feed and you will be responsible for bringing it up front to the customer.
  • Strategic stocking key items that are listed on the board.

Closing Duties

  • Clean restrooms. Sweep, mop, restock paper and soap, empty trash.
  • Clean breakroom area, wipe table and empty the trash
  • Drain water from soda chest in front of deli
  • Close down produce, put merchandise away and cover items. There are direction in the produce backroom to follow.
  • Put bars on the doors by the beer, milk, and milk room. Ensure that the roll up door is also locked.
  • Turn off all the lights in produce, freezers, beer and pop cooler. Milk and meat aisle.
  • Check all lights in bathrooms, meat room, back room, milk, and box room.

 

**NOTE these duties are not all inclusive. You will be asked to complete many various tasks throughout out your shift by the Person in Charge, Grocery Manager, or Front End Manager.**


 

Job Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must meet the minimum qualifications listed below. These qualifications are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required to perform this job. 

 

Education/Experience: to perform this job successfully, an individual must:

·      Be at least 14 years of age or older.

·      Successfully pass a criminal background check.

 

Physical Abilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to:

·      Frequently sit, walk, grasp, reach, stand, talk, or hear. 

·      Frequently stoop, crouch, lift or pull/push up to 30 lbs.

·      Clearly see 20 feet as well as close vision, with or without corrective lenses.

 

Mental & Other Skills/Abilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the:

·   Adaptability: ability to adapt to changes, delays or unexpected events in the work environment

·   Dependability: ability to follow instructions, both in written and verbal format; ability to respond to management direction; ability to complete tasks on time or notify the appropriate person with an alternate plan when necessary. Meet expectations as set forth in attendance policy.

·   Interpersonal Skills: ability to maintain satisfactory relationships with others, excellent customer service skills and an ability to act in a supportive team environment.

·   Mathematical Ability: basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

·   Motor Coordination: the ability to coordinate eyes, hands, fingers, and feet accurately and handle precise movements.

While performing the essential duties/responsibilities of this job, the employee may be:

·      Noise Conditions: exposed during a shift to constant or intermittent sounds at a low level.

·      Injury Exposure: not exposed to workplace hazards more frequently than normal.
