TITLE: Machine Operator (PCT)

STARTING SALARY: $18.50

DAYS: M - F

HOURS: 6:00AM – 2:30PM

JOB SUMMARY

Our preferred candidate will take the lead at insuring a clean, safe and well organized building. The work includes supporting custodial service needs and other non-janitorial responsibilities as listed below.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES (JANITORIAL)

• Check stock & replenish each Bathroom with paper and cleaning supplies – notify materials manager what needs ordered
• Check Garbage & Recycle bins on all production floors and consolidate/empty as needed
• Maintain/monitor Trash bins outside and Single Stream inside
• Roll out Single Stream for collection on scheduled pickup days
• Sweep production floor main aisles as needed
• Clean and mop all Bathrooms
• Sweep 2nd floor main aisle
• Clean and vacuum offices and Conf Rooms
• Empty Office Trash/recyclables.
• Clean and mop Cafeteria
• Monthly clean front and back stairwells

OTHER DUTIES (NON-JANITORIAL)

• Take out Alar barrels and stack horizontal in abrasive dumpster.
• Tamp Alar Barrels
• Check/monitor Alar system for operation.
• Repair/replace bathroom paper towel and toilet paper fixtures as needed.
• Check and empty abrasive collection barrels.
• Check Pallets and move to dock storage area.
• Keep track of barrels used for Alar; notify supervisor when more are needed before they run out.
• Help clean up Spills, emergencies.
• Perform simple repairs, assist maintenance techs with repairs as needed.
• Empty oil wet vacs into waste oil collection barrels
• Clean out and Roto-router abrasive water lines on 2nd and third floor.
• Assist Maintenance in cleaning alar tanks and lines.
• Keep eye on Air compressors, tanks, and accessories. Clean exterior air filters
• Replace filters in air tank condensate water pump system
• Keep an eye on main 1st floor dust collector barrels, change out when full and discard in abrasive dumpster
• Check battery on Fork Truck and replenish w/deionized water as needed. Do not overfill.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

• Basic knowledge of computers
• Ability to follow written instructions
• Ability to utilize measuring equipment
• Ability to operate industrial equipment
• Attention to detail and cleanliness
• Basic blueprint reading

• Ability to work in a team

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Able to stand and/or work for extended periods of time on-site
• Able to lift, carry, push, or pull a minimum of 50 pounds throughout the workday
• Able to tolerate repetitive motion of bending and twisting
• Able to tolerate repetitive hand, arm, and shoulder motion

EDUCATION

Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
