Quality Lab Tech (8PM-8AM)

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Quality Manager, this position is responsible for collecting quality data in a lab setting and documenting results via electronic methods. The use and ability to understand complex lab equipment is required to perform this function.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform inspections and testing as defined in Darnel quality plan.
• Utilize various testing equipment to perform numerous quality test per Darnel quality plan.
• Document results using various electronic methods.
• Communicate non-conformances/ deviations in real time
• Support development, updating and implementation of quality control procedures.
• Ensure that the laboratory complies with safety, environmental and hygiene standards, in order to make the workplace a clean and safe place.
• Collaborate and support quality activities throughout facility.

• 1-3 years’ experience in manufacturing organization preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, team building, and communication skills, as well as computer skills required.
• Working knowledge of Excel
• Preferred Bi-lingual (English and Spanish.) Read, write, and have a good command of the English language, both written and spoken

PHYSICALS DEMANDS:

• Lifting to 25 lb. from floor to waist high
• Frequent standing the majority of the 8-hour shift.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

The lighting is good, and temperatures will be hot in summer and cold in the winter. The Quality lab is air-conditioned. Earplugs, eye protection, and hairnets are required in the production area.
