GENERAL SUMMARY:
- Responsible for scoping and developing robust product category strategies for Darnel North America, using data and analytics to assess market conditions and requirements for long term success. Manages the new business development team to deliver strong growth in new and existing markets. Conducts long-term and short-term goal setting for teams and individuals and uses data to measure and monitor sales processes, identify issues, and enhance performance. Monitors the industry, business environment, competitors, and customers to develop action plans for expanding and retaining the customer base. Uses customer feedback and insights to collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and suggest new products.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the development and execution of business development strategies to drive growth and market expansion.
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, partnerships, and markets.
- Develop and manage product roadmaps, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and engineering, to bring new products to market.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform product development and business strategies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and industry influencers.
- Monitor and analyze key performance metrics to measure the success of business development and product initiatives.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to junior team members.
Requirements
JOB SPECIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field; MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
- Proven experience in product management, with a focus on inventory and warehouse management solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with teams to deliver high-quality products on time and within budget.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Experienced in leading teams and driving results
- Prior sales management with proven track record for delivering growth
- Travel as needed 25-50%
