Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental practice's daily operations. As a Dental Assistant, you will assist dentists during procedures, manage patient records, and ensure a smooth workflow within the clinic. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for dental health.
Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Perform dental imaging as required, including X-rays and other diagnostic tools.
- Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow within the clinic.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Handle administrative tasks such as filing insurance claims and managing billing processes using software (Eaglesoft).
- Monitor vital signs of patients when necessary and assist in all dental procedures.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in dental assisting or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with imaging techniques and dental software ( Eaglesoft) is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding patient information.
- Certification in CPR or First Aid is mandatory.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in dental assisting is advantageous.
