What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chef Tournant position at Darrel & Oliver's Cafe Maxx?
Café Maxx, a full service restaurant has been open since 1984 with just over 100 seats and a full bar in Pompano Beach. Serving elegant, innovative dinners nightly between 5 pm to 10 pm., along with Sunday brunch (open from 10:30 am to 2:30 pm.) A Culinary degree is helpful but not necessary. Dinner menu is rooted regional creative American cuisine and is ever changing and printed daily. Responsibilities include setting up/working assigned culinary stations as needed for service, expediting dinner guest checks and then closing down the kitchen stations in accordance with state and local health codes.
Primary Duties:
The primary responsibility of our line cooks at Cafe Maxx is to meet and exceed our expectations in regard to station prep & service production. In addition to this, it is imperative to our operation that all of our line cooks are professional, punctual, have a fast & efficient work ethic that will not compromise or sacrifice the integrity of our food and keeping the quality of our food at the absolute pinnacle of excellence.
- Cook, cool and hold food accordingly
- Prepare recipes according to our recipes
- Daily station set up
- Daily station clean up
- Work alongside other employees professionally
- Take orders from Executive Chef & Sous Chefs
- Wash kitchen equipment as needed
- Daily post service cooling of products
- Must prepare a detailed daily closing prep sheet
Line cook requirements
- Must be ServSafe certified
- Must have basic kitchen experience
- Provide own uniform
