What are the responsibilities and job description for the Employee Service Center Specialist (Finance) position at Dart Container?
Day-to-Day Role
- Serves as an escalation resource for Employee Contact Center representatives when they are not able to resolve issues or questions
- Completes detailed and/or more complex HR administrative tasks within employee pay and timekeeping
- Responds to employees, former employees, and candidate’s inquiries in the HR Employee Service Center utilizing telephony and case management systems. Utilizes existing knowledge articles and job aids to ensure responses are accurate and up to date and to ensure excellent customer service
- Acts as a subject matter expert, representing the contact center as needed to support other HR projects, training or initiatives
Core Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate must possess all of the following:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- (1) year of human resources experience
- (3) years of experience handling employee pay/wages and timekeeping responsibilities
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain composure and adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced, customer-focused work environment characterized by rapid change, minimal lead times, and multiple competing priorities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills necessary in order to convey clear and concise responses to inquiries
- Experience using Microsoft Office, including the ability to create basic reports, documents, presentations and spreadsheets in MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to travel up to 5% of the time domestically
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license
- Favorable motor vehicle report upon hire
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- Associates degree in business, human resources or related
- Employee Contact Center environment experience
