What You’ll Do…

• Safely operate a yard truck or tractor, with or without a trailer, all within Dart property boundaries—no public roadways involved!
• Couple and uncouple trailers, connect airlines, and expertly maneuver equipment through narrow spaces.
• Perform regular visual inspections of trucks and trailers, ensuring they're in top condition. Handle preventative maintenance checks and report any issues to the supervisor or maintenance team.
• Collaborate with warehouse staff to manage dock operations and ensure trailers are routed and sequenced efficiently.
• Assist with loading and unloading freight, using forklifts, pallet jacks, or your own hands.
• Engage in lean initiatives and problem-solving activities, contributing to our culture of Operational Excellence.
  
  

What You'll Need...

• Valid driver’s license and favorable driving record upon hiring and ability to maintain both throughout duration of employment
• Six (6) months prior warehouse, material handling or PIT operations experience
• Ability to obtain and maintain Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) license
• Ability to observe, follow, understand, and evaluate processes demonstrated and other workplace procedures
• Ability to meet safety, quality and service standards
• Professional written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstration of minimum proficiency with the English language in order to ensure effective new hire training and on-going communications about safety and quality issues
  
  

Preferred Skills And Qualifications

• Valid CDL (Commercial Driver License) Class A upon hiring and ability to maintain throughout duration of employment
• One (1) year tractor-trailer experience
• Physically Qualified under U.S. DOT regulations (part 391)
• Experience in a manufacturing or high-volume warehouse environment
