Position Summary
The Lead Forklift Operator is responsible for assisting the Warehouse Supervisor lead a team of associates to achieve a variety of goals that include productivity, outstanding quality / customer service, maintaining a safe work environment, and employee relations (keeping moral high).
Responsibilities
- Function as the team lead when supervisor is not present by answering employee questions, troubleshooting problems, and promoting efficient operations.
- Maintain a clean, professional, and safe working environment.
- Directs and coordinates the activities of the warehouse operators in loading and unloading trucks and proper handling of various products.
- Assists warehouse operators when needed to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Assists in maintaining the security of the warehouse.
- Assists in training new and current operators.
