Quality Manager- Morris, IL

The Quality Manager is a champion of a quality and continuous improvement focused culture through developing and managing quality improvement initiatives in a 3PL distribution center.

Primary Duties:

• Engages and interacts on a cross-functional level with the site management team, employees, client representatives and suppliers regarding quality related KPI’s processes and systems issues.

• Develops and implements quality standards, measures, processes, tools and systems.

• Establishes and manages a quality control team/committee

• Provides data analysis and quality control reports to Management and the client.

• Leads quality management projects, initiatives and audits

• Monitors, identifies and corrects non-conformity to internal quality standards.

• Conducts investigations and initiates corrective action to resolve quality issues.

• Drives technology and lean initiatives to reduce waste and improve overall quality through continuous improvement and operational compliance

• Drives process compliance

• Determines root cause of problematic issues such as product damage

• Works with management, employees, customers, and other stakeholders to develop quality control measures.

• Develop KPI’s  and provides reports to management.

• Implements system and process improvement changes

• Develops and provides training related to process and system changes.

• Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications Requirements:

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in quality management

• Quality management experience

• Project Management Experience

• This position is primarily day shift,  however, the nature of the work requires the observation of the work environment on all shifts and a frequent presence out in the warehouse.

• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing

• Excellent organizational, leadership, communication, and analytical skills.

• Advanced knowledge and skills in the use of various Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• 3PL management or customer service experience

• The ability to work in non-climate control areas of the warehouse.

• The ability to drive a golf cart through the warehouse
