Position Purpose
To serve as the first contact with the Health Service for students and visitors by responding to questions and inquiries on a broad range of clinical and administrative issues by telephone or in person.

Associate Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Two years in a medical office or related setting.
Competency with standard computer applications, including
e-mail.
Ability to understand and observe strict confidentiality.
Demonstrated proficiency managing high phone volume.
Strong and empathetic listening skills.
Accuracy and attention to detail.
Demonstrated team player.
Commitment to diversity and to serving the needs of a diverse population.

Monitors daily electronic scheduling system and schedules appointments via phone, email and walk-ins for a busy outpatient clinic.

Acts as a customer service representative and assists in annual pre-arrival project with duties as assigned by MR/R supervisor, including data entry in the EMR, assisting with releases of information following HIPAA confidentiality policies, scans protected health information to the medical records system, receives cash and credit card payments for payable services.
