The Department of Biomedical Data Science at Dartmouth College invites applications for a full-time, 12-month, non-tenurable teaching faculty position in the Lecturer Track. The individual will be appointed at the rank of lecturer, senior lecturer, or professor of the practice, depending on experience and credentials. A doctoral degree or master's degree in statistics, data science, computer science, or a closely related field is required, with evidence of successful application within biomedical and biobehavioral sciences.
Candidates should have a record of teaching, mentoring, or leading teams within these disciplines, as well as teaching advanced data science concepts, such as biostatistics, computer programming, big data, machine learning, or generative AI. Experience developing new course content for graduate learners and delivering existing and new content in online and residential formats is also essential.
The selected candidate will be appointed in the Department of Biomedical Data Science and will teach courses within the School's Master of Science programs in health sciences and/or Geisel's Master of Public Health program(s). Courses will primarily be for online programs targeting mid-career professionals, with the option to teach in residential programs as opportunities arise.
