Bariatrics RN Program Coordinator

The RN under the direction of a physician provides medical care to practice patients.  This position provides the clinical and administrative leadership for the Bariatric Program.  The Coordinator works closely with the members of the bariatric and general surgery departments to manage all aspects of bariatrics surgery hospital accreditations and certifications.  Operational responsibilities include coordination of patient scheduling, staff education, postoperative after care and outcome management.

Requirements: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required. Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Minimum of 5 years in a leadership position in surgical care.  Experience with bariatric programs preferred,  Database data entry or management experience preferred.  Prior clinical nursing experience preferred. Ability to obtain a valid New York State Registered Nursing license by date of employment required. Health Care Provider BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
