What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bariatrics Surgical Scheduler position at Dartmouth Health?
The Surgical Scheduler is responsible for providing receptionist, administrative and clerical support to the Bariatrics Office. This position schedules patient admissions and patient pre-op teaching appointments as directed by the physician and completes the necessary forms accurately and on a timely basis. Other duties includes providing instruction to patients in preparation for pre admission and pre operative visits. Schedules patient referrals to other physicians' offices including x-rays, cat scans, MRI's, endoscopies, etc, and complete the necessary forms completely, accurately and on a timely basis. Communicates all schedule changes immediately.
High School diploma or equivalent preferred. Two years of experience in front office support, customer service or related field required. Prior experience in health care preferred.
