What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Coordinator - Pediatrics position at Dartmouth Health?
The Patient Coordinator is responsible for providing reception, administrative and clerical support to the Putnam Medical Practice Pediatric office. Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking clinical environment. Ability to manage multiple deadlines and effectively manage information and information flow. Ability to communicate clearly and be able to gather technical and confidential information over the telephone. Ability to effectively operate a variety of Microsoft Office, Outlook, Meditech HIS, and electronic medical records and practice systems. Knowledge of HIPAA privacy regulations and medical coding standards. Ability to handle money and accurately account for all funds handled.
High School diploma or equivalent required. Two (2) years of experience in front office support, customer service or related field required. The Patient Coordinator must be able to operate a variety of Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Meditech HIS software programs. Prior experience in healthcare preferred.
