Overview
Uses data science techniques to support organizational priority research projects. Assists researchers in identifying, obtaining, managing and analyzing data, helping to ensure that research projects comply with all relevant DH policies and best practices.
Responsibilities
Qualifications
- Master’s degree or equivalent plus 3 years of experience (5 years preferred); or PhD plus 2 years of experience.
- Experience working in a health research setting
- Familiarity with clinical terminologies and ontologies
- Familiarity with enterprise data warehouse methods
- Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Expertise in R and Python for biostatistics, natural language processing, and machine learning
- Advanced knowledge of enterprise data warehouse concepts preferred
- Familiarity with Epic EHR databases (Clarity, Caboodle) preferred
- Complete Cosmos Data Model certification including SlicerDicer Content within 3 months of hire
