The Laboratory Supervisor - Blood Bank is responsible for the overall direction, operations and performance of the Blood Bank Department within the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. They plan, organize, and manage section activities and personnel. This position works directly for and closely with the Transfusion Services Manager to ensure adherence to AABB and CAP accreditation requirements.
This is a full-time, 40-hour/week benefitted day-shift position.

Responsibilities
Qualifications
- Registered Medical Technologist with 5 years of laboratory experience including 2 years in a supervisory or lead position.
- Master's degree preferred.
- Familiarity with regulatory agencies affecting laboratories required.
- CPT & ICD-9 coding experience and Medicare reimbursement knowledge desired.
Required Licensure/Certifications
- Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) OR International Technologist in Blood Banking (BB - ASCP)
