Overview
The Hospital Medicine Program Coordinator plays a critical role in managing and optimizing scheduling and personnel functions within the section of Hospital Medicine. This role is key in ensuring efficient scheduling of providers, ensuring complete coverage of daily shifts, maintaining accurate reporting for schedule reconciliation, and facilitating accurate provider profile creation across multiple sections. The coordinator will collaborate closely with the Section Chief and Practice Manager to understand and address the unique scheduling needs of a hospital medicine practice. In addition, the coordinator will provide administrative support to the section, as needed
Responsibilities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with Qgenda or similar scheduling software in a healthcare setting.
- Familiarity with hospital medicine operations and scheduling challenges preferred.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to support end user.
- Proficient in data analysis and reporting.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
- Prior experience with inpatient physician practices or a related healthcare field.
- Knowledge of database systems - programming and reporting preferred.
- Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills preferred.
