Health Information Management Analyst

• Reviews electronic medical records for accuracy, completeness and timeliness and notifies providers of incomplete records.
• Maintains the deficiency tracking system to reflect the status of provider and staff documentation timelines.
• Monitors and tracks chart correction issues, working closely with providers, clinic staff, and IT staff to resolve.
• Collaborates with coding staff to ensure documentation is present to support billing activities.
• Monitors the timeliness of uploaded documents and resolves any issues with the upload process.
• Assists with maintaining the Dartmouth Health electronic Master Patient Index (eMPI).
• Maintains and safeguards all health information in both electronic and paper form.
• Provides excellent customer service and displays professionalism both when interacting with internal/external customers and when responding to phone calls or email.
• Works independently with self-discipline and works well in a team environment.
• Maintains total confidentiality regarding all patient information.
• Performs other duties as required or assigned

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Familiarity with all aspects of medical records, including electronic medical records, preferred. Experience with Epic EMR desired.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and/or coding preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel preferred.
• Excellent communication (both written and verbal).
• Detail oriented.
• Ability to work as a team and use sound judgment in decision-making
