We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Research Student to join our Biomedical Research Lab for a term-limited position. The successful candidate will support ongoing research projects under the supervision of a senior graduate student or postdoctoral researcher. This role provides hands-on experience in biomedical research techniques and offers an opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge studies in orthopaedic trauma.
Responsibilities
- Perform laboratory assays, in vitro tests, and microbiology experiments with accuracy and adherence to established protocols.
- Assist in the preparation and execution of preclinical research studies related to orthopaedic trauma.
- Collaborate with a senior graduate student or postdoc to collect, record, and analyze experimental data.
- Maintain a clean and organized lab environment, ensuring compliance with safety and ethical guidelines.
- Participate in lab meetings and contribute to discussions on project progress and findings.
Qualifications
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program in biology, biomedical sciences, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of laboratory techniques (e.g., pipetting, aseptic technique, data recording).
- Interest in biomedical research, particularly in microbiology, in vitro testing, or preclinical studies.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Prior lab experience is a plus but not required; training will be provided.
