Looking for a Cloud FinOps Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in cloud cost management and optimization, financial analysis, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure that cloud usage is cost-efficient, transparent, and aligned with business goals. As a Cloud FinOps Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing cloud spend, implementing cost controls, and providing financial insights to stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities :
- Monitor, track, and report on cloud infrastructure usage and associated costs, ensuring alignment with budget and business objectives.
- Work with finance and technical teams to forecast cloud spend, track trends, and provide actionable insights to improve cost efficiency.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and cloud optimization by analyzing usage patterns and recommending adjustments to cloud resources.
- Work closely with engineering, development, and IT teams to ensure cloud resource usage is optimized and aligned with business needs while balancing performance and cost.
- Develop and maintain financial dashboards and reports to provide stakeholders with clear visibility into cloud expenditures, trends, and optimization opportunities.
- Implement and manage tagging and cost allocation strategies to ensure accurate tracking of cloud costs by department, project, or product.
- Drive continuous improvement in cloud financial operations, ensuring efficient processes, controls, and governance around cloud spending.
- Ensure that cloud usage complies with internal financial controls and organizational standards, and track compliance with cloud vendor agreements.
- Collaborate with cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.) to manage contracts, negotiate pricing, and ensure optimal terms for the organization.
- Provide training and support to teams on best practices for cost-effective cloud usage and financial management.
