We’re looking for a Telecom Construction Specialist to help drive our projects forward. If you have experience in telecom infrastructure, fiber optics, DAS, and Small Cell deployments, we’d love to hear from you!
Essential Job Functions
- Bid Development : Prepare detailed bid packages and levels of effort (LOE) for telecommunications projects, including fiber optics, DAS (Distributed Antenna Systems), and Small Cell deployments, ensuring alignment with technical and budgetary requirements.
- Technical Advisory : Provide expert guidance to Program and Project Managers on telecom construction practices, including site acquisition, permitting, and network integration, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Vendor Management : Lead the selection and evaluation of vendors and subcontractors specializing in telecom construction, ensuring they meet technical, safety, and quality standards.
- Customer Collaboration : Act as the primary technical liaison for customers during deployment meetings, offering insights on network design, construction timelines, and technical challenges specific to telecom projects.
- Business Development : Leverage industry expertise to build and maintain customer relationships, positioning the company as a preferred partner for telecom construction and service work.
- Site Oversight : Conduct site visits specific to telecom projects, including tower climbs, fiber splicing inspections, and equipment installations. Ensure compliance with technical specifications and safety standards.
- Cost Control : Monitor telecom construction market rates and negotiate costs within project scope. Hold vendors accountable for budget adherence and communicate risks to stakeholders.
- Problem Resolution : Resolve on-site issues unique to telecom, such as signal interference, fiber cuts, or equipment malfunctions, ensuring minimal disruption to network performance.
- Compliance : Ensure all construction activities adhere to telecom industry standards, including FCC regulations, NESC, NEC, and OSHA requirements. Act as a safety and quality assurance representative on-site.
- Documentation : Maintain accurate project records, including as-built drawings, test results, and closeout documentation, ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
