What are the responsibilities and job description for the Glass & Glazing - Project Manager position at Dash Door & Glass?
Project Manager is expected to lead projects in the quest to achieve client satisfaction.
The skills and activities will include the following:
- Manage a range of multiple small to large construction projects at one time.
- Communicate with Client (general contractor/architect/owner) regarding all aspects of the construction project.
- Work with Estimator for scheduling the project.
- Release and track procurements of materials.
- Coordinates with Superintendents to ensure project meets specifications. Visits jobsite as needed to assist with clarification of constructability issues and readiness for milestone inspections.
- Draft project change orders and distribute to respective stakeholders.
- Formulates reports concerning such areas as work progress and scheduling.
- Maintain effective communication skills.
- Manage schedule, cost, production, changes, installation and closeout.
Requirements
- 5 years managing glass & glazing projects or a 4-year construction-related degree required with 2 years of managing glass & glazing projects
- Strong planning and organizational Skills
- Ability to read and understand construction documents
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, CAD
- Must be able to communicate effectively
- Perform efficiently and accurately with minimal supervision
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills with the ability to make sound, informative decisions
