Job Title: Business Development Manager – Commercial Service & Maintenance
Location: Miami, FL (with travel throughout Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach Counties)

As we continue to expand, we are looking for a Business Development Manager to drive growth in our Service & Maintenance Group by developing long-term, profitable relationships with large commercial facilities and property management groups.
Position Summary:
The Business Development Manager (BDM) will be responsible for identifying, nurturing, and securing new business opportunities to expand our recurring service and maintenance contracts. The BDM will focus on targeting hospitals, universities, schools, office management aggregators, and other large commercial facilities. In addition to forging new relationships, the BDM will support existing customers by promoting cross-selling and upselling of our construction services and specialty products, driving top-line revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- New Business Origination:
- Identify and research prospective commercial clients with potential for recurring maintenance contracts.
- Establish and nurture relationships with facility managers, property management companies, and key decision-makers.
- Conduct site visits, prospecting calls, and presentations to introduce service offerings and secure long-term agreements.
- Service & Maintenance Growth:
- Develop and implement a strategic plan to increase recurring service and maintenance revenue
- Work closely with the Service Group Manager, Dispatch and support team to ensure timely quoting of scopes, and high customer satisfaction.
- Cross-Selling & Upselling:
- Identify opportunities within the existing client base to promote additional services, including manual and automatic doors, glass installations, and related construction solutions.
- Follow up on existing bids, attend trade associations and industry events, and leverage relationships to close deals and strengthen our market presence.
- Collaboration & Coordination:
- Partner with internal departments (Service Operations, Technical Sales, Estimating) to ensure proper handoff of projects, smooth onboarding of new clients, and delivery of promised services.
- Regularly communicate progress, pipeline status, and key learnings to management.
- Market Insight & Strategy:
- Stay current on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging market segments to continuously refine targeting strategies.
- Provide feedback to the leadership team on product offerings, pricing, and potential opportunities for service line expansion.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience:
- Minimum 5-7 years in B2B sales, business development, or account management roles, preferably within the commercial construction, facility services, or related industries.
- Proven track record of securing new business and managing long-term client relationships.
- Technical & Industry Knowledge:
- Familiarity with commercial facilities management, service contracts, and maintenance agreements is highly desirable.
- Understanding of doors, hardware, or related construction specialty products is a plus, though a technical support team will be available.
- Business & Interpersonal Skills:
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence decision-makers at all levels.
- Results-oriented mindset with a proven ability to meet and exceed revenue targets.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and adept at managing time effectively, including travel schedules and remote work.
- Other Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time within South Florida counties (Dade, Broward, Palm Beach).
- Proficiency in CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and virtual meeting platforms.
