Job Title: Quality Assurance / Quality Control Analyst (Mainframe Testing)
Location: Montgomery, Alabama (Onsite Only)
We are seeking a skilled QA/QC Analyst to join our team in Montgomery, AL. This is an onsite-only position working on a large-scale mainframe-based application for child support enforcement. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in manual testing of complex mainframe applications and be well-versed in tools and technologies like z/OS, ISPF, CICS, JCL, COBOL, and SQL.
This role involves working in a structured, collaborative environment, where you will help ensure that all software changes meet technical and functional requirements through rigorous testing and documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct manual testing of mainframe applications
Create and maintain test data, test plans, test cases, and test scripts
Review and analyze system requirements and technical documents
Participate in code and design walkthroughs
Perform defect management, root cause analysis, and test result documentation
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality standards
Support controlled testing environments and provide test status reports
Communicate test results and project updates clearly and professionally
Required Skills & Experience:
5 years in testing complex mainframe systems
Experience with Waterfall methodology
Strong knowledge of ISPF, CICS, JCL, COBOL, and SQL
Hands-on experience with test design, execution, and reporting
Familiarity with configuration management and test environments
Strong analytical thinking, documentation, and communication skills
Familiarity with CA-7 and Tictoc
Experience with Agile methodologies
Background in Child Support Enforcement systems
Education:
Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of QA experience

This role requires onsite work in Montgomery, Alabama. Remote or hybrid work is not available.
