Terrace Landscaping is looking to hire a Lawn Applicator. The Lawn Applicator is responsible for applying fertilizers, weed control, and other lawn treatments to ensure healthy, well-maintained properties. This role requires attention to detail, knowledge of proper chemical applications, and the ability to operate specialized equipment safely and effectively.
RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES
· Apply fertilizers, weed control, pesticides, and other treatments following industry best practices and safety guidelines.
· Operate and maintain application equipment, including stand-on Z-Spray applicators or equivalent machinery.
· Monitor lawns for pests, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies, recommending appropriate treatments.
· Mix and calibrate chemicals to ensure accurate application rates.
· Maintain accurate records of all applications, including chemicals used, rates, and weather conditions.
· Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations regarding pesticide and fertilizer applications.
· Assist with other lawn care tasks, including mowing, edging, and aerating, as needed.
· Provide excellent customer service and answer client questions about lawn treatments and care.
REQUIRED SKILLS / ABILITIES
· Strong knowledge of lawn care treatments, chemicals, and best practices.
· Ability to operate and maintain commercial lawn application equipment.
· Attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
· Excellent time management and organizational skills.
· Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
· Commercial Applicator License (required).
· Valid Driver’s License (required).
· Experience operating a stand-on Z-Spray applicator or equivalent equipment (required).
· High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
· Previous experience in lawn care, landscaping, or chemical application preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
· Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting.
· Ability to work in various weather conditions.
· Must be able to lift 50 pounds as needed.
