Beaty Excavating in Hiawatha is looking for a Pipe Crew Foreman. The Pipe Crew Foreman is responsible for monitoring work performance and productivity of crew members to ensure customer specifications, procedures, safety requirements, etc., are maintained.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversees the operations, safety, and quality of the work done by the team.
- Reports team and individual performance to the president of the company.
- Communicates clearly with the team to provide clarity of expectations.
- Trains and evaluates team performance.
RESPONSIBILITIES/ DUTIES:
- Ensure work is accomplished to satisfaction.
- Address and resolve client issues.
- Coordinate and manage employees, subcontractors, scheduling, logistics, safety, and quality of all aspects of projects to ensure completion in conformance with plans, schedule, and budget.
- Assign workers to tasks, supervise execution of the work, and inspect to ensure conformance with specifications.
- Maintain accurate records including timesheets, daily reports, material records, and client paperwork as required.
- Exercise proper care, maintenance, and operation of company equipment.
- Follow company policy and procedure and enforce safety regulations.
- Work harmoniously, cooperatively, and courteously with others at all times.
- Perform miscellaneous duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least 3 years of supervisory experience in underground utility installation, specializing in water main, storm sewer, and sanitary sewer systems.
- Proven leadership in managing crews and ensuring project timelines are met.
- Strong background in reading blueprints, coordinating with project managers, and delivering quality results.
- Ability to conduct safety meetings and enforce OSHA regulations.
- Effective communication and team coordination skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
· Outdoors overseeing and taking part in projects.
· Outdoors in all weather conditions.
· Standard operating hours: 7:00 am - 4:00 pm, may fluctuate due to demand or weather.
