Purpose:
At DASI, the Accounts Payable Associate oversee the entry of all accounts payable data to insure timely and accurate processing of accounts payable and inventory related transactions. The AP Associate will be responsible for the monthly AP close function up to and including account reconciliations, provide analytical and historical spend analysis as required and assist in the preparation of weekly payment runs.
Key accountabilities:
Review invoices after performing three-way match (invoice, receiving information, and approval/purchase orders) for inventory related transactions.
Analyze documents for accuracy, investigate questionable data and take corrective action when necessary.
Oversee vendor accounts, including communicating with new vendors to set up account information, responding to payment questions, and managing vendor account details.
Reconcile supplier statements with invoices for accuracy & completeness on a monthly basis.
Ensure that all invoice backup / documentation has been filed / saved, etc.
Obtain correct approvals for non-PO received invoices.
Responds to vendor inquiries regarding status of payment.
Scanning of processed payments and or resolved issues for future referencing.
Assist in miscellaneous accounting processes and procedures.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Key skills and competences:
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Ability to work well in a fast-paced professional office environment.
Perform job functions with minimal supervision.
Must be team focused, and able to develop collaborative working relationships internally and externally.
Manages multiple tasks seamlessly and adapts to the work environment.
Strong attention to detail.
Understanding of relevant accounting practices, procedures and regulatory requirements.
Experience and qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Minimum Of 2 Years Accounts Payable Experience.
Aviation industry experience a plus.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of accounting software such Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2016.
Proficiency in MS Excel, word and data entry.
